DIGITAL COMPANION - 2032
 
Features
3D Holographic projection from the mobile screen.
Articial intelligence - ability to see, hear, perceive, sense and speak.
Works on internet and cloud based technology.
Analyses human behaviour and keeps track of past acitvities.
Very basic level emotional connection to the user.
Very basic to do’s or not to do’s advice.
Customized avatar/companion i.e. male/female, sporty, trendy, ethnic etc. as per user choice.
Avatar/companion is visible to other people.
 
Operation
Audio activation (voice recognition).
Avatar/companion pops out on the cell screen.
Person and companion can have conversation.
Audio and gesture based deactivation.

Scenario
Parul is cooking a dish for the rst time.
She is confused with the proportions of ingredients.
e companion searches information from the cloud and internet and guides her for
proper proportions and procedure to make the dish.
is experience is much better than reading a recipe book, or asking for procedure on cell phone.
 
 
Scenario
-Parul is about to get ready for a party and is trying out dresses.
-She is confused and asks her companion.
-Companion gives a thumbs down for the inappropriate dress and thumbs up for the good one.
-Companion also tells her about the venue place, climatic conditions there and asks the person
  to dress accordingly.
-Companion can also capture an immediate snapshot of her and send to her friends/loved ones
  to ask and count their likes and dislikes for the looks.
-This gives her an opportunity to ask her loved ones about her looks in a very convenient and
  instant manner, even though they are far apart.
-The experience is much better than she herself struggling to take a snap and then sending to
  her friends and taking their concerns.
 
 
 
DIGITAL COMPANION - 2062
 -Activates through wearing spectacles.
-Augmented persona- a human avatar- projection of life size.
-The projection will be on the retina of the eyes.
-Artificial intelligence (ability to sense, speak, express, see, hear).
-Based on cloud and internet technology.
-Has brain backup of the human.
-Visible only to the person wearing the spectacles.
-Mood variations and expression of emotions like humans (anger, happiness, blush etc.)
-Strong emotional connection to the person.
-Adaptation to the environment of the person.
 
Operation
-Activated through wearing the special spectacle device.
-Augmented vision on the retina of eye.
-Life size human persona gets projected and person can communicate with it.
-Deactivated by removing spectacles.

Scenario
 -Parul has not updated the software of the digital companion.
 -Companion is upset about the fact, and expresses herself.
-This gives an experience to her that the companion has human characteristics and that she has to be good
  to the companion just like a real friend.
-The companion is not just a digital slave, and is capable of expressing emotions.
 
 
 
Scenario
-Parul is leaving for a party and would come back home late.
-Just when she is leaving, she forgets her keys in a hurry.
-The companion reminds her of the keys she was leaving behind just like mom reminds her kids
  when they are leaving from home.
-This saves her from the big trouble of getting locked out.
